Prashant Tamangis a Darjeeling-based Nepali singer and actor. He was the winner of Indian Idol Season 3 in 2007. He is also the first person from the Indian police force to enter the final rounds of Indian Idol.
Gayetri Maharaj Joshiis a popular Indian Singer from Kolkata. From her young age, she learned the basics in Hindustani classical from Late Sukhodev Mukhopadhyay. The gifted singer later learned music at the Prabhakar and Visharad levels and completed with the first rank from the Prayag Sangeet Samiti University, Allahabad. Later, she was chosen under the aegis of the ITC Sangeet Research Academy, Kolkata and was trained by Ustaad Shri Zainul Abedin in The Agra Gharana.
Starting out early at school, she went on to win accolades at every annual event. For her, growing up meant being surrounded with sound influences of the times. Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle were some of her earliest influencers. At different stages, Gayetri took to singing with different Groups and Bands. Gayetri’s charisma started working with the music enthusiasts. She has shared the stage with many celebrities like KK, Shree Ravindra Jain, Anuradha Paudwal Ji, and Rahul Vaidya.
After graduating she began participating in various forums where she could showcase her singing abilities. Be it winning the ZEE TV’s Sansui Antakshari 2005 National Challenge or the various talent hunt shows. Soon she earned good name in the Music Fraternity of Kolkata and Mumbai.
Karma Sherpabelongs to hilly area in Sonada in Darjeeling district, West Bengal. Darjeeling is not only famous for its beautiful scenic nature, hills but also for melody.
